Pastor - Andrew HoffmanPastor Andrew Hoffman and his wife, Jodie, live in Albany, Calif. with their four kids. His chief ministry desire is to help people find and follow Christ. Andrew received his M.Div. at Trinity International University and also completed an M.A. in New Testament at Trinity, under the direction of noted theologian D.A. Carson. He holds degrees in literature and music from U.C. Santa Barbara and is a Church Planting Coach for churches throughout Northern California and Nevada. In addition to ministry, Andrew is passionate about family, friends, cycling and reading.

Children's Ministry Director - Nicole CorbittNicole has worked for many years in youth ministry programs, and her experience includes Children's Ministry Coordinator, Youth Ministry Leader, Sunday School teacher, and mentor. She is wonderful with the children, and has a passion for working with kids. Nicole holds a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of San Diego, and currently resides in Emeryville.

Music Director - Clark AbbottA long time Bay Area resident, Clark grew up in the East Bay and went on to study American Studies at U.C. Berkeley, and graduated in 2009. He has been playing guitar for eleven years, and has played with a number of bands having anywhere from three members to forty members. Clark also teaches guitar lessons at Danville Music in Danville. He is currently living in Richmond.

Pastoral Intern - Andrew FranklinAndrew earned his B.A. in History from Westmont College, and three years later strongly felt God calling him into pastoral ministry. He has recently began working on his MDiv at Fuller Theological Seminary. His position as Pastoral Intern will be preparing him for his career in ministry by working closely with Pastor Andrew Hoffman in areas throughout the church. Andrew grew up in the East Bay, and currently lives in Richmond.

Administrative Assistant - Sara TaranoSara grew up in Northern California and moved to the East Bay in 2004 to pursue a B.A. Degree at U.C. Berkeley, which she completed in 2006, with an emphasis on human rights. Sara has been a member of Solano Community Church since 2005, and has been serving as the church administrative assistant since May 2008. Sara is passionate about the fight against human trafficking, photography and exploring the beauty of this area. She and her daughter currently live in Richmond.

Ministry Intern - Josh LiuJosh is currently a fifth year undergraduate at U.C. Berkeley pursuing degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science. After being exposed to the gospel at an early age, he has had the desire to explore ministry opportunities more intentionally. As an intern, Josh is looking to serve the greater church community and desires to spread the knowledge of Christ to the immediate community around SCC. The focus of the internship is to encourage personal, theological and ministry development through exposure to hands-on ministry tasks and church leadership community. Josh will be focusing in the areas of discipleship (youth and adult) and church leadership.

Ministry Director (Serving) - Jim ChurmJim grew up in Wisconsin and became a Christian at 14. He earned college and law degrees at Northwestern University followed by a securities industry career in New York City, San Francisco and London. After Jim spent years putting career and himself first the God who always brings His sheep back into His sheepfold graciously intervened and imbued Jim with a deep understanding of the centrality of the Gospel in all of life. Jim married Liz in 1997; soon thereafter they joined a Christ-centered New York church plant where Jim served in leadership. The Churms were called to the Bay Area in 2006 and to SCC in 2010; in 2011 Jim began a Masters program at Gordon-Conwell Seminary. At SCC Jim shares his passion for the importance of intentional, faithful Christian life and service in church, at home, in the workplace and among our neighbors.
