History of Solano Community Church

Solano Community Church was founded in 2004 as an extension of the Evangelical Free Church of Oakland. The first worship services were held in the living room of a member’s home but services soon moved to the Albany Community Center. In December 2010, SCC began worshiping at Ocean View Elementary School to better accommodate the growing congregation with an increasing number of children. In addition to worshiping together on Sundays, SCC encourages equal emphasis on participation in small groups (where attendees can experience fellowship and explore Scripture during the week) as well as service projects to benefit the needy, elderly, and infirmed to promote community and spiritual growth.

Perhaps the greatest legacy of this young church is the many stories of people discovering faith and being transformed by the grace of God. Some of these stories are available online. To God be the glory.
