Exploring Christianity

People often think of religion as a set a beliefs and a person can subscribe to one set of beliefs, like Christianity, or another set of beliefs, like Buddhism. Or a person can choose not to believe any religion or any set of beliefs; such is the claim of atheism.

But religions are not simply a set of beliefs. They are a set of answers. Answers to all the big questions of life such as:

What is the meaning of life?
How did I get here?
What happens when I die?

With this understanding, all religions, as well as agnosticism and atheism, are equal in one way - they provide answers. Now, the better question is not do I believe or not? Rather, which set of answers is the most accurate, the most sound, the most truthful?

Explore what Christianity says and why Jesus, the cross, and the grace of God give us the best set of answers the world has ever known.

SCC's Exploring Christianity is a 7-week discussion group that meets weekly. We will watch a film from the Alpha Course and follow with a short discussion. Dinner is included. Contact Andrew Franklin for more information or to sign-up.
